Most of these photos were taken in the Wilberforce Ontario region of the Haliburton Highlands. I have family there so I've been to this area
Wilberforce is about three hours north of Toronto nestled in cottage country. It's busy in the summer and rather quiet in the fall and winter. The area is a great example of the Canadian Shield - lots of rocks, rivers, lakes, wetlands and trees. Old mines can be found in the area. Fishing is fantastic and there's plenty of wildlife.
Lake Wilbemere, a place where we rented a cabin was also one of our points of operation for kayaking the lake and the Irondale River. Bass Fishing was incredible and general exploring was also adventurous.
