The stanhope/Covehead area of the National park of PEI hold many fond memories. My parents use to rent a cottage here in the fall
so I associate this place with nice family visits, recreational walks and swims. There's been a few changes to the area however. Some man made and some made by nature. Large sand dunes (three stories high) dissapeared in one night during a wicked wind storm and there are a lot of new large summer homes inhabited by the wealthy. Covehead harbour is still an active fishing port and in the spring the place is a hive of activity, |
